Arin Greenwood
Arin Greenwood writes for and edits Out Of The Storm News, a webzine put out by The Heartland Institute's Center on Finance, Insurance, and Real Estate. Greenwood also hosts the center's weekly podcast.
Arin is a writer and lawyer living in Alexandria, Virginia. She received her B.A. in philosophy from Oberlin College, and her J.D. from Columbia Law School where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. Prior to her move to the Washington, DC area, Arin spent more than five years in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands where she worked at the islands' Office of the Attorney General, arguing appeals before the CNMI's Supreme Court, advising government agencies, and helping to start and work as an administrative judge for the islands' first ever refugee protection program. She has also worked on immigration policy for the U.S. House of Representatives.
Arin's stories about law, travel, history and much more appear in Slate, the Washington CityPaper, the American Bar Association Journal, Preservation Online, the Providence Phoenix, and many other publications.
