Map of Ogallalah Aquifer and Extensive Network of Pipelines
January 13, 2012
Attached is a map (PDF) depicting the underlying Ogallalah Aquifer (lavender background) and the overlying existing oil and gas pipelines, as well as the proposed Keystone XL. The Heartland Institute received this from a petroleum engineer from the Amarillo, Texas area.
Note the extensive network of existing pipelines in the area deemed too "risky" for the Keystone XL pipeline.
