The January 2006 issue of Environment & Climate News reports that a county circuit judge in Oregon has ruled the state’s property protection measure, passed by voters in November 2004, violates the state constitution. The state’s highest court will be asked to review the case.
Congress, by contrast, is acting to protect property owners, as are several state and local governments across the country.
