Utah is the most economically competitive state and New York is the least competitive, according to the third edition of Rich States, Poor States, an annual analysis published by the American Legislative Exchange Council. One of the Rich States, Poor States authors is economist Jonathan Williams, director of the Tax and Fiscal Policy Task Force at ALEC. He joins us to discuss the factors that make some states so much better for jobs and wealth creation than others.
