David From: 'Progressive' Tax Aims at Rich, Hits Most People

Since raising its flat-rate income tax an astonishing 67 percent in 2011, the State of Illinois has received an extra $20 billion, yet its fiscal situation has worsened. Rather than blame themselves for a government that's headed toward insolvency, some lawmakers and government workers are blaming the state's rich and demanding a "progressive" income tax to take more money from them. David From, Illinois state director for Americans for Prosperity, says while their rhetoric targets the rich, their policy would hit middle-income earners.
