A Comparison of Dioxin Risk Characterizations

U.S. EPA data shows dramatic declines in dioxin emissions to the environment from quantified sources.  Between 1987 and 2002-2004, emissions from these sources are projected to decline 92%.  This substantial decrease in dioxin emissions can be attributed to successful U.S. government regulation as well as to voluntary actions undertaken by industry.
