New Coalition Launches “Breakthrough” Year
- 2004 began with nearly a dozen meetings and speaking engagements by New Coalition Founder and Director Lee Walker.
- The Spring issue of News & Views includes essays by Walker and Jo Kwong of the Atlas Economic Research Foundation.
- Four events and the publication of three small books are key projects on The New Coalition’s 2004 agenda.
Education and Capitalism Attracts Rave Reviews
- The Heartland Institute’s newest book was called “bold and brazen” in a book review that appeared in the February 23 edition of the Chicago Sun-Times (circ. 477,354). (See “Capitalism Best Cure for Dismal Education System” on page 2 of this Heartlander.)
- More than 3,300 copies of the book have been distributed; its release is being advertised broadly by Hoover Press and Heartland.
Let’s Put Parents Back in Charge!
Nearly 40,000 copies of this chapbook’s initial 60,000-copy print run have been distributed. A distribution plan for the remaining copies will be finalized and launched in April.
