Busy Month for Public Affairs

• Seven state legislators joined Heartland’s Board of Legislative Advisors in March and April.

• Heartland Senior Fellows Wendell Cox, Jay Lehr, and Merrill Matthews recently have addressed groups in Connecticut, Ohio, Indiana, Missouri, Washington DC, Ontario, and Paris. Maureen Martin made her talk radio debut as a Heartland Senior Fellow and has been writing up a storm.

Walker Makes Case for New Coalition

• Lee Walker was interviewed by a San Francisco talk radio show, spoke with reporters for the Medill News Service, was published by the Chicago Defender, and issued a statement on the media’s treatment of Dr. Condoleezza Rice.

• A brochure promoting Walker’s availability as a speaker was developed and printed in April.
