November (2000) Election Produces Mixed Results for School Choice

While the Republican majorities in the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate were reduced on Election Day 2000, the GOP succeeded in maintaining control of Congress. At the state level, the elections produced a virtual draw, although Republicans now control more state legislatures than they had before the election. And at the local level, a number of races in Florida seem to prove voters familiar with how vouchers work will support them.
