Private Health Care Accounts Control Costs and Expand Choices

In this Perspective, Michael Bond writes that more than 1,300 companies nationwide have adopted Medical Saving Accounts (MSAs) to help employees cover healthcare expenses. These accounts have cut health care costs while providing employees with a greater number of choices. More companies would adopt MSAs if Ohio and Congress exempted the accounts from income taxes, just as traditional health insurance is exempt.
