South Charleston Charter Schools Win the Argument
I thank the Daily Mail for the fair and balanced Nov. 27 article on the charter school proposals the Legislature will likely be hearing in January.
When the media does its job of simply presenting the facts, school choice is an obvious winner.
Every argument the teachers union official presented was easily refuted, and the union's true agenda - protecting its membership rather than putting kids' best interests first - was shown for what it is.
Unions always say "there is no magic bullet for education reform" whenever they're trying to keep a reform from happening.
As if anyone advocating school choice believes in magic bullets.
Teachers unions' "magic bullet" appears to be thinking that more money is going to solve the problem, when 30 years of that has not worked.
