Time Blames Snow on Global Warming

In the “believe what I tell you, not what you see with your own eyes” department, Time magazine has posted an article claiming the recent snowstorms blanketing Washington, D.C. could be evidence of global warming.

Time’s Bryan Walsh writes, “climate change could in fact make such massive snowstorms more common” and “the chance of that [two major snowstorms hitting Washington, D.C. in the same winter] is incredibly unlikely.”

According to Walsh, “That’s in part because of global warming – hotter air can hold more moisture, so when a storm gathers it can unleash massive amounts of snow … warmer air could be supercharged with moisture.”

One of the many problems with Walsh’s assertion is that this year has been exceptionally cold in North America. But don’t let real-world observations interfere with scary alarmism – after all, the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change doesn’t.
