SHARON, PA, February 4, 2004--Renowned speaker and author Conrad Meier will address the Penn Ohio Regional Health Care Alliance at an 11:45 a.m. Annual Membership Meeting and Luncheon on Thursday, February 12, 2004.
Meier, who is a senior fellow at the Chicago-based Heartland Institute and managing editor of Health Care News, will address the topic “New Era Of Health Care: Medicare and Health Savings Accounts.”
Meier is a former feature writer for Williams and Wilkins medical journals and past Missouri state chairman of the health insurance committee of the National Association of Life Underwriters. Meier writes a monthly column for Broker News (an insurance trade publication), regular features for Medical Sentinel (the journal of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons), and book reviews for Ideas on Liberty (Foundation for Economic Education). Meier is the author of two Heartland Policy Studies--“How to Implement Kassebaum-Kennedy” and “Extending Affordable Health Insurance to the Uninsurable”--as well as a study for the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) titled “New Era of Health Care Regulation.”
