Reforming the way Illinois communities authorize cable TV service could save the typical household in Illinois $115 per year, and statewide savings from reform could reach $352.5 million.
These findings are part of new analysis by The Heartland Institute. The report, released today (4-4-07), analyzes Illinois’ existing video franchise laws and the barriers they pose to a competitive cable TV marketplace.
