The Marketing Manager is responsible for producing and implementing a comprehensive marketing plan for The Heartland Institute.
The plan must conform to the 12-step process described in The Marketing Revolution by Kevin J. Clancy and Robert S. Shulman. Heartland’s president will assist with the writing of the plan, parts of which are already extant.
Implementation must consist of writing detailed planning memos for each of the organization’s publications, events, and issue campaigns and then working harmoniously with staff to implement the plans.
Success is measured by whether department heads in communications, government relations, publications, and development achieve their objectives.
The position reports to Heartland’s Vice President of Administration.
