Emerging Issues Forum
On Saturday, August 23, The Heartland Insistute will host their Emerging Issues Forum with a program that will feature panel discussions addressing and exploring solutions to top policy issues including education, energy and environment, health care, and taxes.
The Emerging Issues Forum has become an important annual event for elected officials around the country. Prominent policy experts, including Heartland senior fellows and people on the staffs of other think tanks, are featured in panel discussions addressing a wide range of key public policy issues. Leading free-market experts will explore solutions to the top public policy issues that will face the states in 2015 and beyond.
For the third year in a row this event will piggyback on an annual meeting of the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL), also taking place in Minneapolis, Minnesota. According to NCSL, “More than 5,000 legislators from both sides of the aisle, legislative staff, government officials, business representatives, union members, foundation representatives and others interested in public policy, along with their families” attend the Legislative Summit each year.
We expect more than 100 state elected officials from more than 35 states and a similar number of allies and friends to attend the Emerging Issues Forum, making it a great way for you to get face time with elected officials, policy experts, and Heartland’s growing staff of writers, editors, and government relations professionals.
You can read testimonials from lawmakers who have attended our events in the past as well a flier summarizing EIF details.
Tickets for EIF are $100 for an individual ticket; $150 for two.
