A Vietnamese airline was fined by that country’s aviation authorities for hiring “bikini-clad beauty queens” to dance down the aisle of the plane, just before takeoff, to the tune of the song “I’m crazy for banana.”
Vietjet Air was fined for failing to get prior approval for the event, held to celebrate inauguration of a new route between Ho Chi Minh City and Nha Trang. The beauty queens were handing out teddy bears while they danced. The fine of 20 million dong ($960) was imposed by Vietnam’s Civil Aviation Administration.
