Petr Chylek

Team Leader, Los Alamos National Laboratory

Dr. Chylek is an Adjunct Professor at the NMSU Physics Department, has held faculty positions at several U.S. universities including SUNY Albany, Purdue University, and the University of Oklahoma.

Before joining LANL in 2001 he was a professor of physics and the holder of a Senior Chair in Climate Research at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. He also spent several years as a visiting scientist at MIT, Harvard University, and NMSU. He is an author of more thanĀ 100 peer-reviewed publications in the fields of light scattering, radiative transfer, remote sensing, and climate research.

He is a LANL Fellow, as well as a Fellow of the American Optical Society and a Fellow of the American Geophysical Union.
