
Douglas Smith
Douglas Smith is an attorney who litigates cases across the country at both the trial and appellate level. His scholarly articles and essays have appeared in publications such as the Northwestern University Law Review, the University of Illinois Law Review, and the Harvard Journal of Law & Public Policy. His research interests include constitutional law and constitutional history, civil procedure, mass torts, corporate and securities law. He is also a frequent commentator on legal issues and has published several op-ed pieces appearing in outlets such as the Washington Times and American Spectator.
Smith is an elected member of the American Law Institute. He is an adjunct scholar at the American Enterprise Institute and was previously an Associate Professor of Law at George Mason University School of Law.
He holds a J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law; an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business; and a B.S. and B.A. from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
