William Hunter

Director, National Institute on Consumer Credit Management

Dr. Hunter has published numerous articles in refereed scholarly journals, including the Journal of Regional Science, Public Finance/Finance Publiques, National Tax Journal and Public Choice. He has served on a number of community boards and commissions including the City of Milwaukee Property Value Insurance Commission and the Wisconsin Forum. He has also served as a consultant for a variety of private and public organizations including the American Bankers Association, the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District, and the Competitive Enterprise Institute. He is currently a partner in a financial services firm that specializes in the purchase and sale of a variety of debt instruments.

At Marquette Dr. Hunter previously served as the chair of the Department of Economics from 1994-96 and as Associate Dean of the College of Business Administration from 1996-99. In addition, Dr. Hunter is the Director of the National Institute on Consumer Credit Management.
