Gary Baise, an Environment & Climate News contributing editor and leading environmental attorney, has joined the law firm of Kilpatrick Stockton LLP.
Baise is a former trial attorney in the U.S. Department of Justice and served as the first chief of staff to the first administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, William Ruckelshaus. Joining Baise in the Kilpatrick Stockton environmental practice will be attorneys Alexander Bullock, Stewart Fried, and Anson Keller. Together, the four bring more than a century of experience to the firm’s growing environmental practice.
“This high-profile environmental team will be a vital part of the firm’s strategic growth in the Washington market,” said Jeffery Zimmerman, an environmental attorney with the firm, in a January 13 news release. Steve Berlin, chair of the firm’s environmental practice group, added, “Their wide-ranging litigation, government, and corporate experience will be a valuable resource for Kilpatrick Stockton clients.”
