Heartland Institute to Host Ice Cream Social for State Legislators

On Wednesday, July 21, The Heartland Institute will host an evening ice cream social for state legislators and their families attending the annual meeting of the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The Heartland event will run from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. in Salon A-D on the lobby level of the Marriott Salt Lake City hotel, the host hotel for the NCSL meeting.

Heartland’s social will feature build-your-own sundaes, an open bar, raffle prizes for the adults, and goodie bags for the kids. Heartland President Joseph Bast, Vice Presidents Allen Fore and Sean Parnell, and Associate Publisher Nikki Saret will meet with state legislators and their families at the event.

Conrad F. Meier, who serves as managing editor of Heartland’s Health Care News and is speaking at the NCSL conference, and Lee Walker, founder and director of The New Coalition for Economic and Social Change, will also attend the social.
