Heartland Institute to Host Ice Cream Social for State Legislators

On Wednesday, July 28, The Heartland Institute will host an evening ice cream social for state legislators and their families attending the annual meeting of the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) in Seattle, Washington.

The Heartland event will run from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. in Rooms 613-614 on Level 6 of the Washington State Convention Center, the host site for the ALEC meeting.

Heartland’s social will feature build-your-own sundaes, an open bar, raffle prizes for the adults, and goodie bags for the kids. Heartland President Joseph Bast, Vice President Sean Parnell, Director of Operations Latreece Vankinscott, and Associate Publisher Nikki Saret will meet with state legislators and their families at the event. Lee Walker, founder and director of The New Coalition for Economic and Social Change, will also attend the social.
