Heartland Institute to Host Luncheon and Book Signing for School Choice Expert Herbert Walberg

(Chicago, Illinois – August 16, 2007) Join The Heartland Institute on Thursday, August 30 as we mark the release of School Choice: The Findings, a new book by Herbert Walberg Ph.D.

Dr. Walberg is chairman of the Board of Directors of The Heartland Institute and distinguished visiting faculty member in education at Stanford University. His expertise spans the causes and effects of learning, teaching and instructional effectiveness, and national comparisons of achievement. He has written and edited more than 60 books and 350 articles.

Heartland will host two events for Dr. Walberg: lunch at the Metropolitan Club in the Sears Tower and an evening book-signing at Jaks Tap in the West Loop.
