CHICAGO–May 19, 2004–Heartland Institute President Joe Bast and New Coalition for Economic and Social Change Lee Walker will participate in a debate on reparations on Wednesday, May 19th, 2004. The event is sponsored by the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) and will be held at the NBC Tower, 454 N. Columbus Drive beginning at 6:30PM with refreshments, followed by the Newsmakers Forum at 7:00PM.
Also participating in the forum are Chicago Ald. Dorothy Tillman and moderator Cliff Kelly of WVON Radio. The event will also include a discussion of the 50th Anniversary of Brown v. Board of Education by Lerone Bennett, Jr. of EBONY magazine.
