LeftExposed: Center for Biological Diversity Profile
The Center for Biological Diversity (CBD) is a radical anti-development activist organization that specializes in colluding with left-wing judges to abuse the Endangered Species Act. CBD’s most popular tactics are to file lawsuits to prevent resource production and human activity, and to frame innocent people for supposed environmental crimes, ruining their lives and livelihoods. Despite its hard-left anti-corporate stance, explains Heartland’s Ron Arnold in an extensive profile, CBD has collected large donations from Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, Microsoft, and even the ExxonMobil Foundation. Hillary/Obama Democrats vs. Kennedy Democrats
Peter Ferrara, Investor’s Business Daily
John F. Kennedy spent his first year as president trying Keynesian economics, seeking economic growth through increased government spending. That didn’t work, so he advanced supply-side tax cuts that led to an economic boom. Hillary Clinton has her own school of economics, to the left of Keynes, where tax rate cuts inexplicably cause recessions. Neither she, nor President Obama, has any concept of how to promote economic growth and prosperity – which is why we’ve experienced the slowest economic recovery since the Great Depression. READ MORE

DiCaprio Climate Catastrophe Film Boosts Clinton Campaign
Tom Harris, Daily Caller
In an apparent attempt to bolster support for Hillary Clinton, Leonardo DiCaprio released, just days before the election, a new climate change propaganda movie called Before the Flood. While The Heartland Institute is mentioned and shown on screen, DiCaprio seems unaware that comprehensive reports by the Nongovernmental International Panel on Climate Change (NIPCC) identify thousands of scientific papers that either debunk or cast serious doubt on the climate scare. If the Oscar-winning actor really wants to help the poor, perhaps he can make a movie about how they will bear the largest burden in the expensive, “green” world he imagines. READ MORE

What Presidents Can (And Can’t) Do About Education
Teresa Mull, School Choice Weekly
Teresa Mull, managing editor of School Choice Weekly, challenges us to ask why we should expect a president to determine how children are educated when education isn’t even mentioned in the Constitution. “If government were to mostly leave the education arena, people would find ways to provide high-quality educational opportunities for their kids, just as they do in nearly every other aspect of life, from washing machines to motor vehicles. If you don’t want the government choosing your car for you, why would you trust it with your children’s education? READ MORE

It’s Time to Help People Escape Obamacare
Michael Hamilton, Consumer Power Report
Obamacare is collapsing, with average premiums set to increase by 25 percent in 2017 and health insurers jumping ship. Obamacare’s defenders call for harsher tax penalties against the uninsured and more subsidies for those who use the government’s insurance exchange. But if our goal is to help people obtain high-quality and affordable health care, then saving Obamacare shouldn’t be the goal. We need to expand exemptions from fines and encourage people to leave a flawed system. READ MORE

The Failures Of Elon Musk: Space Aliens Did It!
Peter Ferrara, Daily Caller
Billionaire Elon Musk prances around as CEO or godfather of Tesla Motor Company manufacturing electrical cars, Solar City manufacturing solar panels to make electricity, and SpaceX manufacturing space rockets to launch satellites into orbit. These companies rarely make a profit, though they’ve made Musk a very rich man. How do they stay in business? With a stream of $5 billion in taxpayer funds. READ MORE

Alarmists Cherry-Pick Data and Still Can’t Make It Fit
H. Sterling Burnett, Climate Change Weekly
Even when climate alarmists cheat by cherry-picking the data they use to show climate models are consistent with observed temperatures, their efforts fail. John Christy of the University of Alabama at Huntsville shows climate models project from 157 percent to 297 percent more warming than has been recorded by any data set in the global mid-troposphere – where the models indicate greenhouse gases should amplify warming the most. Models projected 230 percent more warming than the median value of the combined observational data sets. READ MORE

New Webpage on Wikipedia’s Lies
Now there is a single website that collects dozens of articles, including scholarly research, on how Wikipedia, the “free encyclopedia,” is actually the fake encyclopedia. Wikipedia is the first place millions of people go to learn about organizations and individuals they hear about in the news or online, but the profiles posted there are biased, unreliable, and often libelous. The Heartland Institute’s Wikipedia profile contains many lies and errors, but we are not alone: thousands of profiles have been similarly hacked by leftist activists. READ MORE
