Jay Lehr Down Under (continued)

Published August 18, 2009

Jay Lehr, PhD and science director at the Heartland Institute, has returned to the USA from his 15-city speaking tour in Australia from Perth on the west coast to Sydney and Canberra on the east. Dr. Lehr confronted the claim that global temperatures have reached crisis proportions, and that human activity played a significant role in changing the Earth’s climate.

He had some effect, because during his tour, the Australian parliament defeated an administration-backed proposal to enact a trading scheme to reduce carbon emissions.

Here’s a link to one of his final interviews, on SBS-TV in Sydney. It’s interesting to note in this video that while the network gave Jay and his colleague, Bob Carter of James Cook University, a fair amount of air time, it ended with two global warming alarmists who dodged the science issues raised by Dr. Lehr and Dr. Carter.
