The Manhattan Institute is seeking a Research Assistant/Press Officer for Education Policy for its new office in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
The Assistant will be responsible for assisting Senior Fellow Jay Greene in all aspects of his research projects, including collecting, entering, and analyzing data; assisting in the research and dissemination of reports and articles; developing and helping implement strategies for maximizing media coverage of reports and articles; and occasionally coauthoring reports and articles on education issues.
Candidates should have at least a bachelor’s degree and an interest in education reform. Strong writing skills, familiarity with Excel and Word, and comfort with using email and the Internet for research are essential. Journalism experience and some math or statistics coursework in college are desirable.
This is a full-time position with health insurance, pension, and other fringe benefits; salary is negotiable and dependent upon experience and skill level.
