Louisiana Governor to Sign Common Core Compromise

Published June 10, 2015

Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal intends to sign three bills to establish a compromise regarding the Common Core debate, according to a report by The Times-Picayune.

The state legislature has now passed the three bills calling for a review of the standards and an eventual decision on whether to keep or replace them by 2016.

By the time changes to the standards occur, Louisiana will have a new governor, Legislature and state school board. All three of those bodies will be involved in the review, according to the report.
