If you want justice, equal protection before the law and prosecutorial humility – New York Democrat Attorney General Eric Schneiderman ain’t your guy.
If you want partisan, selective persecution and ideological witch hunts – you can not do any better than AG Schneiderman.
The Clinton Foundation is located on Avenue of the Americas in New York City – the heart of AG Schneiderman’s purview. It is amulti-multi-million-dollar den of corruption. Time after time billion dollar promises have been made – but never kept. In2013, only 10% of the money the Foundation spent went to, you know, actual charity. They spent more on office supplies. And, of course, rent – palatial offices on Avenue of the Americas ain’t cheap.
All the while, the Foundation was a global, nigh-limitless cash withdrawal system – taking hundreds of millions of dollars from governments with business before then-United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
It is a chief reason why Mrs. Clinton never used her government email address and its monitored, recorded system – so no one could track the confluence of State Department and Clinton Foundation action.
Is AG Schneiderman at all interested in looking into any of this? Of course not. Because Hillary Clinton is a fellow Democrat. And she’s now the Party’s presidential nominee. Can’t foul that up with enforcement of the law. Ask James Comey.
AG Schneiderman even had a pro forma opening to investigate – and took a pass.
Clinton Foundation Was Late to File Paperwork, but Got Pass from AG: “A search of the New York charities database…found that for the years 2010 through 2014, the Clinton Foundation was years late in submitting the required paperwork to raise money in New York – waiting until 2016.”
Because if AG Schneiderman started pulling that string – the world’s biggest wrap-around sweater ever might come unraveled.
Donald Trump is the Republican nominee for president. And there is a foundation that bears his name – though it operates on a scale that is microscopic compared to the Clintons and theirs.
Trump has never before been a politician. He has never held elected office. Thus he has never had the opportunity to preside over a huge arm of the government – while the foundation that bears his name collected coin from people with government business before him.
What’s the Trump Foundation’s big scandal?
Trump Foundation Lacks the Certification Required for Charities that Solicit Money
Oh look- exactly the same paperwork error committed by the Clinton Foundation. So AG Schneiderman gave the Trump Foundation the pass it gave the Clintons, right? Of course not.
Schneiderman Orders Trump Foundation to Stop Fundraising in New York
In fact, the Clinton Foundation did more than just fail to file paperwork – it lied on the paperwork it did file: “In 2005, 2006 and 2007, the Clinton Foundation answered ‘no’ to the question, ‘Did the organization receive government grants?’ – even though foreign governments donated tens of millions of dollars to the non-profit during those years.”
Oops. No biggie – for a Democrat, right, AG Schneiderman?
“‘The Clinton Foundation recently refiled, yet again, forms pertaining to only some of the years that it has incorrectly reported since it began soliciting donors inside New York in 1998,’ said Charles Ortel, a Wall Streeter who runs a blog analyzing the Clinton Foundation. ‘Like the IRS, the New York AG ignores massive red flags.'”
Again, wouldn’t want to unravel the planet’s largest Cardigan – especially not just before a presidential election.
When AG Schneiderman isn’t enforcing laws on Republicans and not Democrats, he is persecuting oil companies for violating no laws whatsoever. In fact, he’ll lead the charge of Democrat AGs everywhere – spending more than a year persecuting them forengaging in their First Amendment right to speak freely.
“A coalition of Democratic attorneys general…announced Tuesday an unprecedented campaign to pursue companies that challenge the catastrophic climate change narrative, raising concerns over free speech and the use of state authority to punish political foes.
“Standing beside former Vice President Al Gore, New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman said the state officials are committed to ‘working together on key climate-related initiatives,’ including queries into whether fossil fuel companies like ExxonMobil have committed fraud by deceiving the public and shareholders about the impact of man-made carbon dioxide emissions.”
How very censorious of them.
And then, when they (thankfully) fail to prosecute adherence to the First Amendment, AG Schneiderman and his ilk move on toprosecuting thought crimes.
“Mr. Schneiderman said that his investigation was focused less on the distant past than on relatively recent statements by Exxon Mobil related to climate change and what it means for the company’s future.
“In other words, the question for Mr. Schneiderman is less what Exxon knew, and more what it predicts.”
We anxiously await AG Schneiderman’s prosecution of every climate change alarmist ever – who issue cavalcades of terribly inaccurate predictions like government-funded Pez dispensers. (Not to mention nigh all weather forecasters.)
Of course that won’t happen. Because AG Schneiderman agrees politically with the climate change radicals. And the Clintons.
As long as Eric Schneiderman is New York’s Attorney General – justice is on holiday. And political persecution is the only play.
