No Boost Yet from Vouchers

Parish schools of the Cleveland Archdiocese experienced a decline in enrollment in 2000-2001, which is notable given that the opponents of school vouchers have made much of the supposed “benefits” religious schools reap from publicly funded vouchers in that city.

Similarly, Catholic schools in the Milwaukee Archdiocese also have seen overall declining enrollments each year since the 1998-1999 school year, even though almost 10,000 students now participate in the city’s voucher program.
