Cosponsors include: Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT), Sen. James Lankford (R-OK), Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA), Sen. Mike Braun (R-IN), Sen. Ben Sasse (R-NE). This legislation has been referred to the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions.

“We need to give small businesses all the help we can to get the country back to work. Health share plans allow small employers a way to ramp up hiring without having to worry about the crippling costs of health insurance. If there was ever a best time for health share plans, it is now.”

“We need a health insurance system that reflects the current needs of Americans. Health share plans, aka association health plans, will create affordable options and move insurance coverage away from the arbitrary employer-based model we rely on. With the ‘gig’ economy taking flight, future generations need flexible, affordable, coverage and this bill is a step in the right direction.”
