Ralph Conner, The Heartland Institute’s former local legislation manger, will be remembered and honored April 20 at a memorial service at the Chicago Temple in the Loop.
Mr. Conner would have been 62 years old April 20. He died unexpectedly March 13 in his home in Maywood.
The memorial will begin at 4 p.m. with remembrances of Mr. Conner’s life in public service, which included his election in 2001 to a four-year term as mayor of his hometown of Maywood; his work with local legislators at Heartland beginning in 2005; and his work as a thinker, writer, and public speaker on several issues emphasizing fair play and individual liberty.
The non-denominational service will be held at First United Methodist Church at the Chicago Temple, 77 West Washington Street, directly across the street from Daley Plaza and the iconic Picasso sculpture.
Following the service, refreshments will be served.
Reservations are not necessary, but space is limited. Please inform Tonya Houston at The Heartland Institute of your attendance at (312) 377-4000.
