The Heartland Institute invites you to meet Virginia Postrel, author of The Future and Its Enemies, at a special luncheon to be held:

Postrel will discuss her newest book, The Substance of Style. Copies will be available for purchase at the luncheon.

Box lunches will be provided. Registration is
$10.00 in advance ($15.00 at the door) for Heartland Members;
$15.00 in advance ($20.00 at the door) for non-Members

Postrel is the author of The Substance of Style (2003) and The Future and Its Enemies (1998). She writes the “Economic Scene” column for The New York Times every four weeks and maintains an influential blog on her dynamist.com Web site. She also writes a column on the built environment for D Magazine, the Dallas city magazine.

From 1989 to 2000, Postrel was the editor of Reason magazine. She has been a columnist for Forbes and Forbes ASAP, and her work has appeared in many other magazines.
