The Future of American Freedom, Harrison Schmitt Addresses Heartland’s 25th Anniversary Dinner

Former NASA astronaut and former US senator Harrison Schmitt Oct. 29, 2009 told the annual dinner of the Heartland Institute, marking its 25th birthday, that a growing number of Americans are awakening “to the threat to American liberty and standard of living existing in the actions and policies of their government.” The bad news, he says, is “the current White House is not incompetent… and will discard the word and spirit of the Constitution” to enact its policies.
