Dear Editor:
Regarding “Intense Heat Begets Intense Smog” (August 3), it is not surprising that environmental activists in the article warn of more frequent and severe smog under “global warming” even though, as the article correctly noted, the Environmental Protection Agency has documented long-term declines in smog levels. Importantly, this decline has occurred even during the “unprecedented recent warming” claimed by alarmists, and the decline will continue to occur, say EPA scientists, whether temperatures rise in the future or not.
Alarmists scratch their heads about why the public is not panicked enough about global warming. The answer can be found in the alarmists’ repeatedly debunked claims that the sky is falling.
Sincerely,
James Taylor
