CHICAGO, IL November 26, 2001 – Ross Kaminsky and Thomas Walton joined The Heartland Institute’s Board of Directors at its October 26, 2001, meeting.
Ross Kaminsky is a founder and Managing Member of Tahoe Tading, LLC, a proprietary market-making firm focused on equity and index options. The Chicago based company is a member of the Chicago Board of Options Exchange, the Chicago Board of Trade, the American Stock Exchange and the Philadelphia Exchange. Mr. Kaminsky has nearly 15 years of experience as an options trader.
Thomas Walton is Director of Economic Policy with General Motors Corporation, working out of GM’s headquarters in Detroit, Michigan. In that position he oversees the analysis of the effectiveness and costs of current and prospective governmental policies and regulations together with their implications for General Motors, for its customers, employees and stockholders, and for the general public. He is a member of the American Economic Association and the Detroit Association of Business Economists. He is Vice Chair of The Business Research Advisory Council to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics in Washington D.C.
