Unions Just Want More Money

“Those presently in control of the education system have run short of ideas except to lobby continually for more money,” say the teachers who signed “A Letter to the American People,” calling for systemic school reform.

A November 2 bulletin from Mike Antonucci’s Education Intelligence Agency confirms this view of the teacher unions is valid. Following an October organizational work session of the Washington Education Association, representatives of WEA-Riverside issued a short report containing the following statement:

“As a result of that meeting, there will be one primary focus that occupies the energies of WEA in the near future. That’s the compensation of our members.” [emphasis in original]
