We’d like your feedback!

Published June 1, 1999

Welcome to School Reform News, the only national monthly publication devoted to the latest developments in school reform across the country.

Since its first issue in January 1997, School Reform News has sought to provide its readers with up-to-date news and information about significant developments in school reform from across the nation.

We recognize that much of the information about school reform in general-circulation newspapers and magazines reaches readers in the form of commentary and opinion rather than news. By contrast, School Reform News is almost all news, with very little commentary.

Our aim is to present important news to our readers, not to regale them with our opinions.

We’d like to hear what you think we do well, what we do badly; what we don’t cover enough, what we cover too much; where we give too much information, where we give too little; where you agree with us, and where you disagree.

Our goal is to make School Reform News your most valuable source for information on market-oriented education reform efforts across the country . . . but we need your help to do that.

Whatever your viewpoint, we’d like to hear from you. Please drop me a note by mail, e-mail, or fax–whichever works best for you:

e-mail: [email protected] fax: 312/377-5000 mail: School Reform News, 19 South LaSalle Street #903, Chicago, IL 60603

Up to this point, we have not given our readers an opportunity to present their own views in a Letters to the Editor section. Is that something we should do? Would it add value for you as a reader of School Reform News? I’d like to hear from you.

Advertising

Starting with last month’s issue, School Reform News is being sent not only to 11,000 state and local government officials, journalists, think tank representatives, and Heartland donors, but to some 33,000 private school administrators, librarians, and teachers. SRN reaches every Catholic elementary and secondary school in the United States plus thousands of other private schools. Our expanded circulation offers a valuable new advertising opportunity for firms hoping to do business with the $15.4 billion private school marketplace. For ad rates and special first-time advertiser opportunities, please call publisher Nikki Saret at 312/377-4000, or contact her by e-mail at [email protected].
