Tom Sleeter has a background in security analysis and portfolio management. This was an area of concentration for him in graduate school at the University of Chicago from 1970-1973.

From 1971 – 1979, Tom was at Nalco Chemical Company where he had a series of progressively more responsible positions culminating as Assistant Treasurer.

Tom was employed at USG Corporation in Chicago from 1984 to 1991. For a portion of that time, until leaving the firm, he served as Director, Pension Investments, where he oversaw the management of the $300 million corporate pension fund. As part of his duties, he interviewed firms that were seeking to be managers of portions of the USG pension fund.

From 1991 to 1992, Tom was Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer of Health Directions, a physician practice & surgery center management firm.

In 1993, Tom started Heartland Capital Resources, a financial consulting firm that focuses on business valuation studies and special projects involving investment management here and in
other countries.

In 2008, he became an investment advisor affiliated with and Chief Investment Officer of Total Clarity Wealth Management, Inc. a registered investment advisory firm. He is now affiliated with LPL Financial

Tom is active in civic affairs and enjoys traveling, boating, reading and hunting. He serves on the board of Northern Michigan Land LLC, the Downers Grove Lions Club, and North Providence Ridge Cemetery Association. He is a member of the Economics Department Alumni Advisory Board at Michigan State University. He is the father of two grown children and lives with his wife in Downers Grove.

Janis Sleeter is a Wealth Advisor for Total Clarity Wealth Management and LPL Financial. She manages the Oak Brook branch which includes her husband Tom and son David. The office provides financial planning and investment management services
individualized to help clients achieve their goals.

She has over 20 years of corporate finance experience including Manager of Financial Analysis for McDonald’s Corporation and Director of Treasury for Allied Van Lines. She started a financial consulting firm in 1992 working with individuals and business owners.

After receiving a BA from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, she earned a CPA, a CFP ® and an AIF ® . Jan has conducted many seminars and workshops on personal and business financial
planning, investing, retirement and estate planning. She is a member of the Financial Planning Association and Chicago Council on Planned Giving. Janis and her husband Tom reside in Downers Grove, Illinois. Jan is active in several civic groups. Their son and daughter live in Chicago.
