Global warming alarmists are in a frenzy this week, crying “the sky is falling!” after a group called DARA predicted global warming will kill more than 100 million people during the next 18 years and destroy the global economy.
This is not an accomplished scientist or respected scientific organization making the ridiculous predictions. DARA is an obscure, heretofore irrelevant non-government organization dedicated to guilting people in wealthy nations into forking over money to the rest of the world to atone for a host of Western Democracy sins, and especially our climate change sins.
But DARA, as irrelevant as it was, figured something out. Make ridiculous global warming claims and big-league environmental activist groups will beat a path to your door. Not that DARA made any effort to mask its alarmist, redistributionist predispositions. At the very beginning of the DARA paper making the alarmist global warming predictions, the group added a full page containing nothing but the words, “Dedicated To The Innocent Victims of Climate Change.”
Now THAT’S an objective scientific study for you!
It all comes down to credibility. Alarmists claim global warming will kill more than 100 million people during the next 18 years. Based on such an absurd prediction, they want us to trust them to reshape our society and govern the world economy.
No thank you – the rest of us live in the real world.

ANTARCTIC SEA CONTINUES BREAKING RECORDS
Antarctic sea ice continued breaking records this week. As this issue goes to press on September 28, not only is Antarctic sea ice more extensive than ever recorded for this date, it is currently at its third highest extent ever recorded for any date of the year.

GODDARD INSTITUTE CAUGHT DOCTORING HISTORICAL TEMPERATURE DATA
NASA’s Goddard Institute doctored the historical temperature record last month, making changes as far back as 1880 to make it seem as if there is an acceleration of recent warming. Climate auditor Steve McIntyre points out that Goddard Institute employees likely violated several federal laws and policies in the process.

MONTANA GLACIERS RECEDED UP TO SIX TIMES FASTER PRIOR TO WWII
A newly published paper in the peer-reviewed Quaternary Science Reviews reports that alpine glaciers in Glacier National Park in Montana receded up to six times faster during the 1930s and 1940s than they are receding today. The findings are significant because humans were emitting relatively little carbon dioxide into the atmosphere prior to World War II.

Global warming extremists are howling in protest that PBS NewsHour decided to air brief segments of an interview with meteorologist Anthony Watts during an hour-long global warming program. “Lukewarmist” climate scientist Judith Curry points out the scientifically counterproductive nature of bullying by global warming extremists regarding the PBS NewsHour segment and regarding the global warming debate as a whole.
