A Buffalo Bills fan is suing the football team, alleging it sent him too many text messages.

The man signed up on the team’s Web site to receive text message updates on scores and other team news. He alleges the site stated he would receive three to five messages per week, but says he received six messages one week and seven messages another week.

He’s seeking $500 in damages for each call plus $1,500 for each “willful” violation. So far, he hasn’t cancelled the messaging service.

There is “no word” on whether the messages included news about the Bills’ September 30 drubbing by the New England Patriots, 52–28.
