Global Warming a Greater Threat than ISIS?

The establishment liberal media frequently point out Democrats are much more worried about global warming than Republicans, and the media paint this divide as showing Republicans are out of touch on climate issues. However, a new poll indicates global warming alarmists are the ones who are out of touch on global warming issues.

A Pew Research Center/USA Today poll conducted this week asks Americans about “major threats” to the United States. Among the nine options – Iran’s nuclear program, China’s emergence as a world power, the conflict between Israelis and Palestinians, Islamic extremist groups like Al Qaeda, the Islamic militant group in Iraq and Syria known as ISIS, North Korea’s nuclear program, growing tensions between Russian and its neighbors, the rapid spread of infectious diseases from country to country, global climate change – global climate change ranked dead last. Only one quarter of Republicans and less than half of Independents said global climate change is a major threat to the United States.

Among Democrats, however, global climate change ranked at the very top of major threats to the United States. Yes, Democrats ranked global warming as a greater threat than ISIS, Iran’s nuclear program, increasing Russian aggression, etc.

Fortunately, there is hope. While Democrats ranked global warming as the greatest threat to the United States, fully 32 percent of Democrats did not rank global warming as a major threat at all. The extremist global warming lobby may have hijacked much of the Democratic Party, but many Democrats nevertheless see through the inflated alarmism.
