Heartland Institute Announces Ninth International Conference on Climate Change

The Heartland Institute announced it will hold its Ninth International Conference on Climate Change July 7-9 in Las Vegas. Approximately 50 speakers will participate, with several hundred people expected in attendance.

Confirmed speakers include S. Fred Singer, Craig Idso, Patrick Michaels, Roy Spencer, Willie Soon, Joe Bastardi, Christopher Monckton, Anthony Watts, Marc Morano, and Greenpeace cofounder Patrick Moore.

The conference will highlight two comprehensive new publications by the Nongovernmental International Panel on Climate Change (NIPCC). On April 9, NIPCC released Climate Change Reconsidered II: Biological Impacts. NIPCC plans to publish Climate Change Reconsidered II: Human Welfare, Energy, and Policies in June. Lead Authors S. Fred Singer, Craig Idso, and Bob Carter will speak at the conference, as will other NIPCC authors.

The Ninth International Conference on Climate Change (ICCC-9) will take place at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. Immediately after ICCC-9, on July 9-12, the popular FreedomFest annual conference will take place in Las Vegas at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. Confirmed FreedomFest speakers include Steve Forbes, P. J. O’Rourke, Dinesh D’Souza, Stephen Moore, Charles Murray, Grover Norquist, and Michael Steele.
