Regarding the May 9 article, “Doherty declares himself a global warming skeptic,” it is disappointing that the article failed to mention the science presented in the global warming debate.
The article correctly noted that Assemblywoman Linda Stender and Rutgers professor Alan Robock made numerous ad hominem attacks in the debate. However, the article failed to mention the volumes of scientific evidence I presented, which Stender and Robock repeatedly failed to address, supporting the scientific assertion that global warming is not a crisis.
While I read verbatim from scientific studies and scientific literature affirming the reality that global warming is not a crisis, Stender and Robock could cite no such scientific evidence, and resorted to negative, ad hominem attacks in an attempt to divert attention from their lack of supporting scientific evidence.
For the benefit of those who are interested in the global warming issue but were unable to attend the debate, I invite this newspaper to publish a transcript of the debate, which was videotaped by Assemblyman Doherty’s staff. Let the readers judge for themselves what the science says!
