Stimulus Money for Everglades?

Some Florida environmentalist groups are seeking an increase in federal funding for Everglades restoration as part of a national economic stimulus package.

A federal-state partnership is overseeing and funding ongoing Everglades restoration projects, but more than 80 percent of the funding so far has come from state sources. This is taking a toll on the state budget, which is currently operating under a deficit.
