I was reading an online article this morning on the election results in Vermont and what it may mean for the state’s plan to adopt single-payer health care in 2017, and ran across this nugget buried at the end:
In the meantime, Vermont’s current health care system, Vermont Health Connect still doesn’t have a working website. Open enrollment starts November 15.
Are you kidding me? More than a year since the failed launch of Vermont’s Obamacare web site in October 2013, with one week to go until the next open enrollment period, and they STILL don’t have a functioning site ready to go?
I guess the silver lining is that Vermont voters are seeing up-close and personal the incompetence that their government would bring to running the health care of every person in the state if given the chance. If that doesn’t persuade them to stop single-payer, nothing will.
