Football Hall of Famer Deion Saders joins actresses and other celebrities in a new video urging lawmakers to help kids rise to their level through supporting school choice.
At an Los Angeles event, the American Federation for Children and Alliance for School Choice recognized several athletes for their support of school choice.
“Many of the athletes come from humble backgrounds,” said Kevin Chavous, AFC’s executive counsel, according to the Washington Examiner. “They know what happened to many of their classmates who couldn’t make it out of failing schools. And they know that athletic skills good enough to play in the NBA and NFL shouldn’t be the only way out of poverty for these kids, as is too often the case.”
