Impressed by Solyndra, Obama Triples Down on Solar Power

Published July 25, 2012

The Obama administration apparently can’t get enough of Solyndra and the myriad other solar power companies that have colossally failed despite generous taxpayer subsidies. The Obama administration proved this yet again yesterday by unveiling plans to create new solar power subsidies and to allow solar power producers to skip build facilities on federal lands without first having to undergo the extensive environmental review process applicable to all other forms of energy development and land use.

Recent discoveries of abundant oil and natural gas in the United States, together with technological advances allowing for cost-effective production of oil and natural gas in shale formations, present the United States with an unprecedented opportunity for a low-cost, abundant energy future. President Obama, on the other hand, doubles down and then triples down on expensive, unreliable, failed technologies like Solyndra solar power.

If I wanted America to fail, I would do the exact same thing.
