Obama Tacks Left of Washington Post on Keystone Pipeline

Published January 20, 2012

There are relatively few things one can absolutely count on in life. Among them are death, taxes, and the reliably liberal political bent of the Washington Post editorial board. That being the case, it is quite telling that the Post has published a house editorial wondering how the heck President Obama decided to kill the Keystone XL pipeline that would bring valuable oil from a friendly neighbor along with tens of thousands of much-needed American jobs.

“Obama’s keystone pipeline rejection is hard to accept,” reads the editorial’s title. “We almost hope this was a political call because, on the substance, there should be no question,” the editorial goes on to explain.

When the Obama administration tacks so far to the left in its desire to please environmental extremists and far-left special interests that the reliably liberal Washington Post is left scratching its head, we know President Obama has completely lost touch with Main Street and has seen his election chances drop from a toss-up to a decided longshot.

Good luck next year fundraising and planning the details for your presidential library, Mr. President.
